2007 Dissertation and Thesis Award Recipients |
Congratulations to Lotus Kam
The winner of the IAAEM 2007 Ph.D. Award in Aquaculture Economics and
Management is Dr. Lotus Kam for her dissertation titled, A Bayesian Decision
Network Model for Analyzing Biosecurity Risk, completed at the University of
Hawaii under the supervision of committee chair Prof. PingSun Leung. Dr. Kam
received an honorarium of $1,000 and $500 to attend the WAS meeting in Busan
Korea May 19-23 2008. Well done Lotus!
Congratulations to Jennifer Clark
The winner of the IAAEM 2007 M.S. Award in Aquaculture Economics and
Management is Jennifer Clark for her thesis titled, A Shrimp Aquaculture
Investment by Grapefruit Producers in the Indian River Production Region of
Florida: A Risk Assessment, completed at the University of Florida under the
supervision of thesis chair Prof. Chuck Adams. Jennifer presented her work
at the WAS meeting in Busan Korea May 19-23 2008. She will be receiving an
honorarium of $300 plus $200 for travel expenses. Nice work Jennifer!
