Dr. Tony E. Windham was appointed Assistant Director – Agriculture and Natural Resources and Community and Economic Development on October 1, 2006. He has 18 years of service with the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service as an Extension Economist and Section Leader of the Agricultural Economics and Community Development Section. Dr. Windham is a native of Scott County, Mississippi where he grew up on a small beef cattle farm. Dr. Windham earned his B.S. degree in Agricultural Engineering Technology and Business in 1982 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Agricultural Economics in 1985 and 1988 from Mississippi State University. During his career he has received awards from USDA, the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, Epsilon Sigma Phi, and the Arkansas Association of Cooperative Extension Specialists. He currently serves as Academic Vice-President on the Executive Council of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Dr. Windham’s wife, Rose Windham, is a physical therapist with United Cerebral
Palsy. They have two children, Tanner and Madison Claire, and live near
Ferndale, Arkansas. |
